Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of CanIWorkForYou.com and of our proposal preparation service.

What the service is

You send us the information for a job you are quoting. We organize, format and professionally present that information as a proposal document branded as your business, and return it to you as a PDF for you to send to your customer.

What the service is not

CanIWorkForYou does not:

• estimate your job or calculate what it should cost
• decide what you should charge
• determine the scope of work
• select or specify materials
• create allowances, exclusions, warranties, payment terms or timelines
• draft legal terms or provide legal advice
• contract with, or communicate with, your customer

Every fact in a proposal we prepare comes from you. If something is missing or unclear, we ask you for it. We do not supply it ourselves.

Your responsibility for the content

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of everything you send us, and for reviewing the finished proposal before you send it to your customer. The proposal is issued by your business, in your name. Any agreement that follows from it is between you and your customer, and we are not a party to it.

You confirm that you are entitled to send us the information and files you provide, including information about your customer, and that you authorize us to process it in order to prepare your proposal.

Turnaround

Our target is to return a proposal within 24 hours of receiving everything we need. That is a target, not a guarantee, and the time runs from the point at which we have complete information.

Fees

Your first proposal is free. After that, proposals are $49 each. There is no subscription, no contract and no minimum number of jobs. Prices may change, and we will tell you before a change applies to you. Fees for work already delivered are not refundable, but if we have made a mistake in preparing a proposal we will correct it at no charge.

Revisions

If we mistyped or misorganized something you sent us, tell us and we will fix it at no cost. A change to the underlying job information, such as a new price or a changed scope, is a new proposal.

Your branding

You give us permission to use your business name, logo and business details on the proposals we prepare for you. We do not use them for anything else without asking you first.

Confidentiality

We treat the job information you send us as confidential and use it only to prepare your proposals.

Acceptable use

Do not send us information you are not entitled to share, and do not ask us to prepare a document that is false or misleading.

No professional advice

Nothing we produce is legal, financial, engineering or construction advice. Licensing, insurance, contract terms and regulatory compliance for your work remain your responsibility.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the proposal the claim relates to. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profit or lost work.

Ending the arrangement

There is nothing to cancel. You use the service when you want a proposal prepared, and you stop when you do not.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The version on this page at the time you send us a job is the version that applies to it.
